Non-driving functions like climate control, lighting, and seating adjustment would fall under Android’s control. And the system would move beyond basic infotainment to create a unified ecosystem for features like remote cabin conditioning, digital key management, and personalized driver profiles.Er... ok. That doesn't sound like a big win to me. But then, I still adjust my seat with actual mechanical levers, like a chump, so maybe drivers with higher-end cars would like it.
The key management is an interesting idea. I think Teslas already let you open and drive your car with just your phone. Though perhaps it might be worth having a wireless charger built into the exterior of your car, to revive it if your phone dies, at least enough to open the door.
