Ask HN: How are technical interviews changing with AI?

Curious what people are actually seeing out there. Are leetcode style interviews still the norm, or has the format changed? There are a few things I’m wondering about: Are companies giving candidates AI tool access during coding rounds?

Is there more emphasis on system design now that AI can handle boilerplate?

Has the bar for “live coding” changed at all?

I’m not actively job hunting. I have a stable role I like, but with layoffs being common I want to stay sharp. Would love to hear both what interviewers are seeing on the other side and how others are prepping.
