Wrapping World Births/Deaths Simulation Viz in Chrome Packaged App

This is an experiment with the new "chrome packaged apps". I wrapped the existing world births/deaths visualization in a chrome "packaged app". There were a few quirks to get d3 to work there. Anyway, it's free on the "chrome app store" at

For something like this, it's kind of nice because It's a onetime download of all the files, etc. it needs. Please feel free to let me know of your own experiences. I think it inexplicably crashed once for some reason - this might have something to do with the way the "published" wrapped acts versus when I was debugging, where I never saw it happen.
