It claims to support RFID, so I wouldn't have to carry my work door card. I'd strongly consider that.

Would your work let you put your details in a phone to be synced to a device like this?

Plus most door cards are 125Khz and NFC/credit cards etc use 13.5Mhz so I wouldn't expect it to be compatible.
