I'm an independent developer living living Canada with some clients in the US. I am paid monthly by cheque in $US and I am looking for the most cost effective way of converting that money to $CAD.

I'm interested in hearing about banks, brokers or even using something like bit coin as a means of currency exchange.

I'm looking to replace my earbuds for my iPhone & N1. I'm no audiophile, but I do appreciate a good sound. What is important to me is durability of the product. Quality of sound shouldn't degrade too quickly over time and ideally, the audio jack should be L-shaped so it doesn't bend so easily when I have my phone in my pocket. Of course, the earbuds should have integrated controls. I'd like to spend less than $100.

So, do you have any recommendations?

Everyone knows that X in these two sentences originally referred to "The King". However, the sentences should be interpreted as "The (old) King is dead. Long live the (new) King."

Substituting (JavaScript|Java|C#|SilverLight|Flash|etc.) for X doesn't really make sense.

Like most people, I'm not doing offsite backup of my data. Are there any low power/cost end to end solutions that I could plug into my friend's home network and backup data from my home?
