As the title says, I would like to know how to send a private message to a HN user. I see some comments that would say PM me. I click on this user's name, and all I see are submissions and comments. Thanks for your help.
I posted this on elance and guru and thought I would ask this community as well. Does anyone know a developer who will help me with doing filesystem development on mac?
Thanks ------------
Looking for a freelancer to work on userspace filesystem on mac osx. The final application will be a cloud storage application but I am looking for someone with expertise on filesystem development on the mac platform. In addition, you must be willing to do pair programming. I will pay by the hour. To separate the spammers, please type 'FILESYSTEM' on your response and include a list of projects that involves filesystem development. Thank you.
Requirements: expertise in filesystem development expertise in mac osx application development pair programming git for source control (I will provide the github repository) willing to sign IP and confidential agreement
Bonus: familiarity with AWS S3 python development for cross platform components (mac and windows)
I live in Atlanta and graduated from Georgia Tech with BS and MS in BME and ECE respectively. I'm working as a software engineer full time right now but focusing on this startup during nights and weekends. The goal is to get to prototype stage and test the market. The product is very technical so you must have a passion for technology. Cloud storage is very crowded but it is a big area and there are still challenging problems to solve.
I prefer someone who is in Atlanta so we can work on this together. I live in Norcross at my parent's house so you can live here for free. The only requirement I have is that you must be willing to relocate. If it makes more sense to move to the bay area or we get into an incubator, you must be willing to relocate. Part of your role will be to decide the technical direction of the company. I think it is an interesting problem and technically challenging. Give it a shot. Shoot me an email sabeniapps at gmail dot com and we can chat. Worse case scenario, you make some money contracting.
I work full time and pursuing this at nights and weekends. I have apps on the side that I sell at the App Store. It is only generating small revenue so I never bothered, but now I am pursuing something that if there is a market demand for it, can take off and become a startup.
I am outsourcing the development to US coders via guru and elance. I'm a developer but not in this expertise. I figured someone else can do it faster and better. With regards to freelancers, I want them to build the components and I integrate them.
I am looking for a technical cofounder(s) right now. I'm living in my parents house but they are out of the country (1 year) so I can offer free rooms and we can share food/etc. I can offer some money for fun and allowances. I intend to keep working because I have a great job that allows me to keep doing this at night and pay for expenses. When there is potential, I intend to move to it full time. I'm not doing this to limit risks to myself and put all the risk to cofounders/employees. I get paid quite a bit and have a very flexible schedule. We can minimize cost by working out of the house and I can keep the venture running with my salary. I'm flexible. Let me know your thoughts on this.
In the future, I want to pursue patents even though they are evil. In the future, I want funding and move to wherever makes the venture most conducive to success.
Thanks for all the help and advices! I hope this can help others as well.

Background: I'm a single founder, looking for co-founder down the line.
Sometimes I get stuck on a development problem or just want to ask someone. Sometimes, asking on stackoverflow and forums are not enough especially if you have to debug through the problem and show where the crash happens. However, someone experienced might point it out in an hour or two. Is there a service where I can pay a developer by the hour and remotely work out the issue?
If not, do you think that there is a market for a service like that?
Thanks!
