What are my options?

Google is not helping at all. I don't have backup codes, I broke the phone that had the 2FA app and I don't remember the password. There is no manual processing, no passport photo etc verification process. I lost all my old emails and probably offended so many people in my circle by not seeing/not replying to their emails. Is this really the end of my relationship with my old email addr? This doesn't make sense to me. I would pay to recover this trove of data and my personal reputation is in line here. Does Google not help at all in a situation like this?

Hi everyone, We need to build a GPU compute box (thinking GeForce GTX Titan Black[$1000] as the GPU) for training Convolutional Neural Networks and building services on top of the trained model. What would be the most cost effective way to colo such a server? Hurricane Electric told us a 2U rack space (100mbit and 750W) would cost us $700/month and I find that a little too expensive.(they are saying that we would rent a whole cabinet for the same price since their main cost is going to be our power usage and not bandwidth etc)

I am also thinking of building the box on my own and putting it in our office in SF (which has a static ip and 50mbit unlimited internet) but that'd probably violate the TOS - and even if it doesn't I am not sure if the internet connection would be stable enough to operate such a service from (though it doesn't necessarily need to be real-real-time -- we just the box to consume our job queue and a 1 minute delay would be acceptable there)

What are your thoughts on this? Do we really have to come to terms with having to pay $700+/mo for this?

(somehow arranging this for ~$300/mo would be amazing)

Hi everyone, I am organizing a crowdfunding campaign to give blankets/food/books/glasses and new year's postcards to 1000 homeless people in San Francisco.

Since we as the residents already spend a lot of money on the homelessness issue in SF via government(200MM+/year), I thought some of us would be willing to take a more active role in fixing this issue by donating to campaigns like this one(and to more sustainable ones). So, I am thinking of turning this campaign into a crowdfunding platform for activists and organizations that want to work on homelessness related issues in San Francisco.

I want to learn more about the business world and how to do business/investment(esp. in the tech world but not necessarily).

I want to learn from the greatest business people and I don't want to have to re-invent the wheel myself.

I am a software engineer and I already had a startup experience of my own (and I am currently working at another one in SF) -- so I am not exactly a beginner.

I am really interested in books where the writer is talking about why certain tech businesses failed or succeeded. (I'd also be interested in biographies of great business leaders). Do you know any such books?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
