I have my YouTube watch history turned off for years now, as the same account is used across my devices including Home TV.

I have seen prompts from YouTube time to Time recently to Turn back the History On. I ignore it and it was working fine.

But today, in my Chrome browser, there is no Home screen anymore. Just YouTube history is Off and Update Settings Link, that force us to turn the history On and no other way.

Google's commitment to privacy?

Note: I am a YouTube Premium subscriber but they still want to mine my data for Ads elsewhere.

Anyone facing the same?
