Is there a way to find out open source projects that want someone to help with their User Experience?
We already have lints, type-checking and some specs in place. But no manual reviews, yet.
While we were in-office we could do simple over the shoulder code reviews and exchange valuable feedback fast without any official process.
Since now my team is remote (although in the same timezone), what changes can we start making in our team to introduce code review practices to make the code quality better and avoid the common mistakes?
We want to build something similar to JIRA that will allow it's users to make things as configurable as possible. Also, it's important to allow 3rd party developers to develop things on top of our platform.
I'm looking for some books or resources that can help us build a perfectly modular and scalable/extendable codebase.
I am not too happy with the support for unit testing in Sails. It takes a good 7-10 seconds before it starts running the test cases, there is no out-of-the-box support for fixtures as well.
Are there any frameworks that can handle test cases in a more efficient way?
I am good at making stuff and my other co-founder is good at design & research.
We have a couple of clients right now that are helping us pay our bills and take care of a couple of employees (excluding us).
Obviously, for increasing the revenues we should focus on increasing the sales and marketing. Right now I am not sure should I focus on just catering our existing clients(which is a risk) or should I spend time on some other activity too?
PS: We provide Web design and development services to our clients.
