Does anyone have any experience starting a company with a co-founder that isn't from the US? For context, I am from the US, but I'm curious how it might work if my co-founder was from outside of the states and not currently here on a visa.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should structure compensation related to a side project I have that makes money?

- I am not incorporated yet. - I do not have immediate plans to raise for it, my main project is something else. - It's profitable, but not really profitable enough to just hire someone. - While it makes more money than it costs, it is not really a significant amount (yet).

The options I was weighing: - Get a cofounder and split it 50/50. - Hire contractors for one-off features (currently trialing this). - Get a partner(s) and split it something like 80/20.

Any thoughts?

I'm about to start a side project with a collaborator I haven't worked with before and we expect it to generate a small amount of revenue. I'm thinking of incorporating as an LLC once we're done building to protect us both.

In past projects that didn't involve money this didn't seem necessary. Has anyone else done this for their side projects? What about bank accounts?

For startups that used Clerky, did you have a lawyer review your forms with you during or after the process?
