How optimized do you think human intelligence is compared to the theoretical max? What do you think the max optimizes for?

Many options exist, but I have been annoyed with how finicky some can be. All I need is a well-priced cloud GPU platform, with a good command-line utility like fly.io

Would be cool if I could just use said tool to say send a Python file, and include something like a poetry pyproject.toml to set up the environment + info about what type of server I want it to run on (GPU, etc), and just have it run the file on their servers and send the output back to the command line tool + have cloud storage that the programs can output files too (like model weights).

Recently as I'm sure you know Twitter and Reddit have spiked their API prices.

Does anyone know of a way to get around this? Anything at all?

I know this question sounds stupid but there are so many ideas that I and other people have that just don't work because of the recent API changes on Twitter and Reddit. As an example someone I know has been working on a project called Unified, a platform were all of your social networks are consolidated, but has sunsetted months of work due to Twitter prices.

There is a lot of articles and books about how index funds are the only way that to make money reliably in the stock market. If this is true, how do other investors and day traders make money? I don't know about day traders, is it possible they don't make money. But investors? As in money managers, and straight up investors? Hedge fund managers and the such? I assume they don't just put their money in the S&P 500 and leave it there. If that were true their jobs wouldn't exist! So how do these people actually make money if there is no reliable way to predict the market and the market is not completely correlated to anything?

Lately I've been wondering after joining Hn and learning about what it is, is it possible to keep an online community from turning into Reddit or even 4chan? The opposite of that is Stack Overflow, which in an attempt to avoid decrease in quality, established itself as a toxic over moderated community, where almost everything gets downvoted and closed, and if not, edited to be so far from the original post that the entire question changes. As opposed to Reddit, which is so full of superficial fluff and under moderation that it is more of a place were people go for like/upvotes/karma. Not for discussing or creating something of actual value. So I ask, do you think it is possible for an online community to keep itself in that sweet spot between Reddit and Stack Overflow for as long as it is relevant? Also, where is Hn in that spectrum?
