I can throw something together if it doesn't exist but I'm hoping that there's something already out there. I've tried googling but I'm not getting very far with the discovery.
Thanks
The reason I ask is I'm debating whether or not to attend the National Restaurant Association's yearly trade show up in Chicago this week. A vendor booth, flights, hotel, signage, tables, etc will easily run me $5k - $6k. In the grand scheme of things, I realize that's not a whole lot of money but I'm self-funded. It would be a pretty significant hit to the savings I've set aside to live on. On the flip side, this could be exactly what I need to get an in into the industry; something that has been pretty difficult for me to do at the national level.
Any insight into your experiences with them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I'm hoping that this is just an issue because at this stage all of the communications are happening over the phone or in person. I'm just concerned that it will persist when people are telling their friends about it or worse, they just completely forget it (because it's not common).
What are your thoughts or experiences with non-traditional domain extensions on non-geek consumer services? Have you tried it? Did it work out? Did you change domain names or ride the wave of confusion?
For us, there is hope in that the .com is being squatted and maybe we'll be able to buy it eventually. On the flipside, the longer we wait and the more unintentional traffic we send them, the more the domain will be worth. Worse if they were to sell off to someone wanting to build a competitor.
