I am in the midst of consolidating my experience and ideas to build a better tool for myself (and hopefully useful to other solo hackers).
Would you be interested in such a tool?

What do you think of Streak Gamification?
- Does Streak motivates you to do things?
- Is it counter productive?
- Are you worry about losing streak when you are sick or going for holidays? Or do you still clock in just to maintain the streak. How do you feel about this?
- Is a less strict Streak still meaningful (or defeat the purpose)? e.g. you don't loose all your streak if you skip one day (maybe some penalty), or ability to pause.
- Do you have a better gamification idea than streak?
- If you start a blog, you can serve ads (e.g. Adsense) or join Medium membership program.
- If you create video for YouTube, join YouTube partner program.
- If you stream game, join Twitch affiliate program.
- If you are an artist or creator, create a Patreon.
- If you are working on a new project, there is Kickstarter.
Is there any other options which I miss out? Is there a way for Twitter and Facebook content creator to monetize?
Though Google Contributor is dead, I thought there are still many opportunities for consumer to pay content creator which are not explored, or at least not competitive enough.
For example, there isn't a Like & Pay feature. For example, I might like a blog post or video or a github project, why the following options isn't available
- "I Like" button where 10c or $1 is contributed seamlessly.
- "I Support" button like Patreon when I pay monthly contribution with access to certain perks.
Maybe there is something like "Contibutor Wallet", once setup payment could easily be made upon click. As for transaction fee for micropayment like 10c, maybe I could pre top-up my wallet to avoid unreasonable transaction fee. Perhaps Google, Stripe or Alipay would like to take on this opportunity?
What if we have early adopters for hire: - these people have some interest with what you are doing, and agree to be paid to be early adopters - they will give you user feedback and become beta testers - they will promote your product to their friends and followers once they are satisfied with your product - they will write blog post or video to talk about your product
I was thinking it would be better if we could archive articles on how certain company or product adopt certain stacks, such as: - https://engineering.pinterest.com/blog/learn-stop-using-shiny-new-things-and-love-mysql - https://code.facebook.com/posts/745068642270222/fighting-spam-with-haskell/ - http://techblog.netflix.com/2015/01/netflix-likes-react.html
If you know of any articles of company or product adopting a certain stacks, do share it here :) thanks
