This is a rant:

I know HR is needed, but, the kind of power they have vs the amount of work they actually do, they are the most overpaid department in a company.

Their unnecessary employment wellness programmes which most of the employees actually hate are presented to upper management as doing wonders.

They award themselves awards such as "people's person of the year", "building a culture of xyz", etc. etc. but everyone knows what they really do. They just suck up to the management.

God I hate HR department.
