Looking for general advice on when to open up a Beta. There's a balance between features/polish and getting early feedback.

We have ~tens of people on our waitlist and are interested in how experienced companies/founders manage their Beta releases.

Amidst the nascent concerns of AI replacing software engineers, it seems a proxy for that might be the amount of code written at OpenAI by the various models they have.

If AI is a threat to software engineering, I wouldn't expect many software engineers to actively accelerate that trend. I personally don't view it as a threat, but some people (non engineers?) obviously do.

I'd be curious if any OpenAI engineers can share a rough estimate of their day to day composition of human generated code vs AI generated.

I've sen the periodic Launch HN posts, but it was't ever clear what the rules around them were. Are they YC backed companies only or anyone can "launch" here? Requirements on a Beta vs Generally Available?

We've been working on https://www.growbell.com for a few months. It uses AI agents to parse natural language into trading strategies. That strategy then gets executed by our backtesting engine and spits out the results. Here are some examples outputs:

It can handle commissions/slippage, etc but the main focus now is just testing it out in the wild. Some caveats:

1. Your strategy should trade equities (for now)

2. 20 years of data on SPY/QQQ, 2 years on other equities

3. It's only price/volume/technical data at the moment. News and fundaments are in the works.
