Anytime I want to learn some new technology or work on a new project, I quickly lose my motivation and drop it.

How do you get yourself to stick with something for long period of time?

What do you do? Can you describe your education and work history? Do you have to live in HCOL area? How is your work life balance?

I have been with my employer for almost a decade. It’s my first job out of college. I’m wfh in a medium cost of living area. My salary is 140k and work life balance is great. I’m very risk averse and feel very comfortable in my position but I’m starting to be concerned that I’m not growing as an engineer.

I’m wondering if anyone here was in this position and wants to share their experience.

I make 130k (all base) as a front end engineer but I live about 2h outside of nyc and I’m fully remote. I often wonder if I’m underpaid.

How much do you make in the NY area? - can you break it down (base, bonus, stocks) - are you remote, hybrid or in the office every day?

I’m looking to learn more about early childhood education. What books, podcasts, articles do you recommend?
