Today I've noticed that Google Search no longer respects the inurl: search filter. Do we know if it's a global or regional thing and if it's final or just temporary?

I'm considering buying freeze drying equipment for non-industrial, home scale. My parents have a blueberry farm and I think it'd be lovely to have lots of those freeze dried. Is this a terrible idea? Do any of you have experience with doing it at home? I know it might be expensive, but are there any other cons to it?

I've seen reports of it being used for ads that are very hard to block. This article's (https://blog.ankursundara.com/shadow-dom/) author struggles to find a genuine use case for that closed mode. Is it known what was the intention for adding it to the web platform?
