I always get asked what I'm up to this weekend and more times than not my answer is always that I'm working on projects. This weekend I'm working on a online course and doing some research for a startup idea. What are you working on?

Do you use a specific framework to code landing pages, or perhaps squarespace/wix/wordpress/webflow?

I'm curious if any HN'ers here have any fun mac os projects they've built or even have an income from? I feel like we hear a lot about saas and iphone apps, but not mac os apps as much. I have a mac os app idea, and I'm also wondering if anyone knows of a good book on building a mac os app business? Or perhaps a book on building an iphone app company would be sufficient and applicable to mac os?

I'm considering paying an app agency to develop my startup idea. I'd like to be involved in design aspects, but I'm hiring because I know I haven't coded in years and feel like it makes more sense.

Has anyone gone this route before? What has your experience been? How does it work in terms of ownership of the IP/app itself? Do you retain ownership/control and just pay them as a contractor for updates?

I have been paying for evernote, and recently read BASB which has inspired me to take more notes. Before I commit to evernote, I'm taking a look at other note taking apps, such as Obsidian, Apple Notes, Roam. Curious which app you use to take notes and why?

Hi Team! I have a startup idea I'd like to get built. I used to code, but feel like I am not up to speed and think I'd like to outsource. Does anyone know of any good app development companies that have good reviews and a history of building startups/apps for early stage companies?

I'll go first! My story: I was 13 years old and someone in the mIRC chatroom #graphicdesign said they were looking for a logo. I messaged him and he agreed, I designed the logo and he sent me a check for $150 and my parents opened a bank account for me and deposited it.
