I've made a bunch of tools that provide value in some way or another (at least to myself). However, I've never dedicated real effort towards gaining a large number of users. For me, a 'launch' typically just involves running through a small checklist of things that feel somewhat spammy (posting on hacker news/product hunt/discord, and running a few twitter/reddit ads).

The small group of users who do happen across the project will often love whatever is built - latest example being https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36654253 - but I'm lost as to how to really scale and build a solid user base.

After having switched companies ~6 months ago, I was dead-set on living with coworkers as I think it helps to form stronger connections, and can be convenient when commuting to the same office, gym, etc. However, I found it way trickier than expected to find compatible roommates as I didn't know anyone at the company.

My friend and I recently started building a platform to try and address this problem, but we're keen to learn what it is that prevents other people from living or wanting to live with their coworkers.

Is there a task or activity that regularly causes you grief during your day-to-day (no matter how big or small)?

Post it here to potentially motivate someone to work on a solution!
