- CVS seems to be artificially jacking up their base prices just to make thier insurance "discounts" look better
- Even after my insurance knocked the price down, CVS is way more expensive than Amazon's regular price
- CVS wont even let you return meds. Their solution? "Just throw it in our medicine disposal bin"
This is probably affecting millions of Americans tbh. The whole thing - inflated prices, confusing insurance stuff, and zero returns - feels like its designed to squeeze money from us. Anyone else dealing with this at other big pharmacy chains? Would love to hear from someone in healthcare/pharmacy about how they justify this pricing. What other options have you guys found besides these traditional pharmacies?
Since then I've reached emails from 9 different Amazon recruiters for Software Engineer role to my work email. Reaching out to me on my work email looks very odd to me.
I tried responding to 4 or 5 of the recruiters to take me off the list but no one responds to my email. Finally 9th recruiter responded and promised me to take my email off their list.
Is this a common hiring practice?
1. They lure you into 2 hr sales presentation by offering free tickets and hotels (Which later I realized are not very good)
2. They make you go through a presentation highlighting how their service is much better than traditional hotels. They talk about inflation and how your money is being wasted using hotels for vacation. (May be using some fancy terms and numbers to influence people)
3. They pair you with an individual sales rep, who tries to sell you. They highlight benefits, hiding all recurring cost associated with it. Emotionally pressure you into accepting the fact that you are not taking enough vacation and how you are not caring about you and your family's need.
4. They focus on the fact that you "Own" it without explaining how you own anything.
5. They force you to make decision right then and there. Because the sales agent know that if a customer is interested in buying it there are much better pricing available in secondary market if they do some research.
