I am a fairly experienced developer and technical managers who is currently working in a mid-sized software agency, and we're seeing a lot of our incoming work start to relate to Web3. I have a cursory knowledge of Web3, particularly cryptocurrency, but I'd like to spend the next few months getting smart on this topic (for personal and professional reasons).
I am not interested in switching careers or learning how to trade cryptocurrency, which is what I tend to find when I Google around. I'm more looking for in-depth readings about what Web3 enthusiasts believe will happen with the internet, and what the short and medium-term implications of those beliefs are.
I tend to prefer long-form articles and books, but that may be unrealistic for a field that is changing so quickly. Every time I ask this question to friends and colleagues, the answer is "Twitter" but I am not a avid Twitter user, so advice on who to follow and what that looks like would be helpful too.
Outside of that - can HN recommend any resources for someone in my position? Happy to answer any more questions in the comments.

Does anyone have examples of training materials or SOPs they've used with virtual assistants? I see a lot of listicle articles for VAs, but not many templates or detailed tactics / best practices out there.
If you're comfortable doing so - please post what country you're in.
Something like this(http://www.gardentowerproject.com/news/gardening-ideas-recommendations/veggie-scheduling-when-to-start-seeds-plant-harvest), but with data that's usable (or easily changeable) by excel in formulas.
In an ideal world, I'd like to have it include indoor planting times & germination times. It would be great to have a chart like this(http://www.ufseeds.com/Zone-6-Planting-Calendar.html) but with actual date ranges instead of a gradient.
And I'm aware that this data change per zone and has a margin of error. I'm looking specifically for Zone 7, but if this was organized by Zone that would be great. If not, I can still work with the data.
Does anyone know where I can find such a chart?
I'm trying to take steps to improve how I get my news. Here's my reading habit right now: Every morning I scan through HN, Reddit and my Facebook feeds. Once a week I read the Economist and the New York Times. And I have a great work environment that shares insightful articles through our chat tool, so I get most of my good stuff from there.
But, on my own, I rarely find well thought-out articles that analyze political issues. I just read headlines and blog style articles.
So, for those of you who feel like you have a good, unbiased grasp on current events and politics... how do you get your news?
