I am currently awaiting my response to join W25 batch. My idea is combining my two knowledge fields, dentistry and technology. However, I am based in Melbourne, Australia. The upcoming second term of the Trump administration will most likely bring about changes to the H1-B visa program.

I was just wondering out aloud if uncertainties to the H1-B visa program is causing YC to be bearish regarding international founders/companies like myself?

I am currently developing an app that uses customised key-value stores, but am struggling to come up with a simple way to describe this concept.

In the app, users can add custom meta data to objects. For example, a 'restaurant' object can contain metadata with <Rating, Int>, <Website, URL>, <Menu, Photo> and so on. Other another example would be a 'walking goal' object with custom meta data of <Time Taken, Date> and <Steps, Int>

I'm thinking of words like 'properties' or 'attributes', but I think the word/concept can be simplified further.

I'm currently making an app using SwiftUI. Though it's mostly fantastic, there are times I need to access UIKit. I've gotten by so far, but I feel out of my element if I want to leverage this technology more. Because the official docs are sparse in examples, I was wondering what are some good resources that I can refer to instead?

* I'm looking for resources that are technically moderately advanced, rather than beginner level tutorials and so on. Thanks!

I'm dipping my toes in app development and I was curious how tabbed applications like Safari/alternative web browsers manage memory for multiple tabs. I guess Im more interested in how Chrome or Firefox on iOS would do it, since they probably won't have special privileges like Safari.

I don't do much frontend programming so I've been mainly using Javascript. However, more and more libraries are using Typescript which makes me think that I should make the jump. But I don't understand how adding types will suddenly make frontend coding more efficient. I tried researching for pros and cons but nothing came up.
