This person is junior and I can see it’s taking a toll on them psychologically. I have never been a manager so I don’t know the dynamics of a large organization (fang) but am curious how many of you have experienced something similar or were forced to performance manage a employee when they really didn’t have bad performance but you had to do it anyways due to organizational pressures/circumstances?
I am an IC in tech given the current climate want to protect myself from something like this happening. What’s the best way to do so?
The question stems from the fact how important the phones are wrt to personal data. If there are two apps App 1 and App 2. What all can app1 access from app2 on Android vs iOS? What data can all apps access?
At its core I am trying to understand by installing different apps on my phone what all am I really saying yes to sharing with that app. Is it limited to common things like contacts and generic files folder or is it also that plus the data stored in other apps (say journal apps, text notes etc)
If there are articles / short books that explain this please let me know of it.
I come from a “everything on a computer is a file” perspective and am curious what a model persisted on disk looks like? Is it essentially a long list of key value pairs where the key is the node “ID” and value is its “current”weight (may be from its last training?)
Is there more to it?
