Excited about the role of technology at the Base of the Pyramid.
My wife is a teacher and she has been taking classes via Zoom for the last few months. In her classes she wanted to play media clips. However the student experience is not uniform and great. After 1-2 attempts she gave up and tried to assign some of this as homework (but that’s not working either).
Youtube Premier seems to be the experience we need to recreate: Live video where they can watch together. Given the teacher and school perspective, this needs to be outside Youtube / Facebook or any social network. This needs to be transient: only for the purpose of the live lecture.
They don’t need a full blown VOD workflow, LMS etc. What’s the simplest possible way to create this?

Thank you HN community! I start most days by reading through the top posts on HN, and it has been super helpful.
I am in the process of winding down my business after ten years. It's been a great learning experience. It consumed 1/3rd of my life and all of my adult life.
All these years I felt I didn't have time to pause and reflect. Now that I have a few months of downtime before my next gig, I want to reflect and extract as many lessons for myself.
However, I don't know how to proceed. Any framework/process that you have used in the past that has worked for you? I am at the moment just reading and flowing one link at a time. I think there can be a better way.
Best, Sameer
The emphasis on gestures: getting as much as done with one thumb
The content on BlackBerry World, Flow and Peek it seems perfect for a work chum personal phone.

We have been distributing our custom Android Apps over the air through webservices (apks being stored on S3) after having the user register their device with IMEIs. Downside: Apps need to manually be updated with at least 3 touches.
Is there a smarter way?
