Is there software for iOS which allows me to set the the "From" field on the fly without complicated account/identity management? Thunderbird would be something which has this, but it's desktop only.
The native Mail app only lets me allow to change the sender account but there's no way to modify the From address.
Is this still true for somebody who wants to learn C++ in depth in 2021? I have plenty of experience using C and C++ over the years, nevertheless my coding in C++ still feels like doing C with classes and some STL containers like 2005. I want to progress from this state.
Are the books of Scott Meyers still the ones I should read now? If not, what are the new 'standard' books I should read?
This is a serious question, no ranting please. I never worked with such a big tech stack nor in such a big company.
Why doesn't a tech company where one could argue it being in a role-model position in the industry put a priority on this? I do understand companies put their priorities where the money is. Given that GH Pages is also a feature for paid customers (for private repos for example), one could argue this is the case here.
Probably one of the reasons is the involved complexity of a CDN. But I'm interested in the detailed reason(s).
Probably they have teams to find potential targets. Maybe not. What if a "normal" employee finds a good acquisition target? How do targets reach the right people at the company? Are those teams having a budget and buy what they want? Is there a limit? How it's decided if a C-level executive has to overlook the acqusition? Is there something special about acqui-hires? Are acqui-hired people being told in advance it is an acqui-hire or not?
I am not interested in legal stuff and due diligancs. There are dozens of topics about this but I couldn't find one talking about the internals of such acquisitions. It's just curiosity from me.
