Twitter has had an interesting relationship with their developer community in the past - besides the obvious reason that Twitter just bought Periscope, why would they mess with Meerkat?

Wouldn't competition be good? Meerkat is pioneering the mobile live stream model for Periscope. From what I hear Periscope is a supieror product (not sure if I believe it) so why would Twitter signal their fear of Meerkat?

Foursquare tips are all about niche information that help people make decisions.

It seems like something should exist that allows people to leave and discover tips on the web. Similar to visiting physical places for the first time, visiting a new website can be difficult to navigate--you do not know whats good and bad yet. With tips, you could get the inside perspective right away and find out what is worthwhile.
