what can I do to help either make these meetings useful?

spend 15-20 minutes discussing things not related to work whatsoever before anything of value has been said.

I moved back to an area close where I grew up, it is a very 'right' area. I knew this and I am often an outsider in my thoughts, what I learned today was that all of my peers have 'off' on election day to vote. I am stuck working almost the entire day.

does anyone know of a way to begin pushing for having off on election day in order to make voting easier?

I was recentially creating a password for an account and all characters were allowed except '&'. I am interested if anyone knows a reason why that character and that character only was left out of their 'mandatory' characters for a strong password.

forgive my ignorance if the answer is obvious, just seemed weird to me.
