So I'm new to deploying apps to production, I'm curious of everything I need to do to make a website secure. As of now, I only know to setup SSL, I imagine there is more beyond that.
I can see this going both ways. But I think a project without tests would be less toxic than a project with bad tests. I'm curious what your thoughts are on this.
There are a lot of great things I want to learn but I find it hard getting myself to buckle down and get in the process of learning. How have you found ways to stop beating around the bush and get to learning?
I work so many hours with my current job, so I have no time to work on my personal projects. Money has been a struggle so I have been looking for a job. Employers ask to send them a link to my github account, but I don't have many public repositories and my current job has no open sourced software I can show. (I also signed an NDA)
I thought the point of being in a JR developer position was to get a job with limited experience and continue to learn while working. I've been in a job search lately and checking out these Jr Developer positions, they require so much! Some require bachelors degrees, 3-5 years in web development, experience with quite a few languages. I can't tell if this is really what Jr Developer positions require or if these companies are trying to save some money by paying little for the same experience.
