I was just looking on my homescreen and suddenly have Brawl Stars installed on my iPhone. I have never installed this app and it seems to have been installed automatically.

It feels like every few days one of the big AI services is down, degraded, or just slow. I don't mean this as a complaint. I'm just genuinely curious. These are well-funded companies with smart people. What is it about running these models that makes reliability so elusive? Is it just demand nobody predicted, or is there something fundamentally different about serving AI vs. a normal web app?

In a world increasingly filled with noise, I’m grateful for this community’s relentless pursuit of the "interesting." Here’s to a 2026 filled with deep dives, side projects that actually launch, and high-signal threads.

I recently started getting into agents and am looking into tools/frameworks to build my own agents. I am specifically looking for tools that allow me to "build from scratch", so preferably no n8n or some other agent builder platform. I stumbled upon Pydantic AI and it looks very promising. However, I was wondering the following: what is the current go-to standard in industry when it comes to tools/frameworks for building agents "from scratch"?
